Just starting in youth ministry and not sure where to start?
First Things in Youth Ministry is a Youth Ministry Specialization Course for anyone new to youth ministry.
Course Overview:
- Designed for those people 17 years of age and older who are called to minister to, for and with youth of middle school and high school ages.
- Developed in partnership with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry
- Includes a year subscription to the NFCYM
- This hybrid course allows you the opportunity to complete the basic and advanced youth ministry specialization courses.
- The Basic Certification is granted upon completion of the (Parish Ministers Formation Program (PMFP) and the Youth Ministry Specialization Course. The Advance Certification is granted upon completion of the Continuing Ministry Formation Program (CMFP) and the Advance Course in Youth Ministry.
- Cost per registration is $100. Scholarships are available based on need and upon request.

Schedule:
First Things in Youth Ministry commences with an in-person orientation retreat, followed by six virtual cohort meetings, and concludes the final session with an in-person closing retreat.
