As we soon approach the month of November, we eagerly await for the National Catholic Youth Conference, hosted by NFCYM, which will take place this year November 10th-12th in Long Beach, CA at the Long Beach Convention Center. 

Over the past decade, NCYC has traditionally been hosted on the east coast in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, this year NCYC will be hosted right in our backyard in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and you are invited to attend!

What is NCYC? 

Hosted by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is a 3-day nation-wide gathering for young people to ENCOUNTER Christ in prayer and the sacraments, EXPERIENCE Church with thousands of Catholic peers, and be EMPOWERED for Discipleship through catechesis and discernment. Be part of this life-changing experience!! 

What to expect at NCYC

An opportunity for youth to participate in:

– Liturgy with thousands of Catholic peers 

A formative and life-changing experience led by: 

– National Speakers & Performers 

– Catholic Organizations, Ministries, Orders, & Universities 

– Faithful Volunteers with a Heart for Bringing Youth to Encounter, Know, and Follow Jesus Christ 

Who can attend NCYC? 

NCYC is intended for Catholic teenagers in high school, accompanied by chaperones, to experience and encounter Christ. Chaperones may include: Youth Ministers, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Religious Men & Women, Campus Ministers, Diocesan Leaders, Parish Leaders, Parents, & Religious Educators.

How can parishes benefit from NCYC? 

Before conference: 

• Lead teens into encounter 

• Foster new leadership in teens & adults 

• Engage parish community (adults and parents) 

• Parish leaders will receive formation before and after conference at the parish/vicariate level 

After conference: 

• The Office of Ministry with Young Catholics will provide resources and accompaniment for participating parishes to start, strengthen or grow their ministry at the parish/vicariate level 

• Ongoing leadership formation for teens and adults at the parish/vicariate level

Diocesan Delegation to NCYC 

Package Cost: $550 per person 

Package Includes: 

• Conference Registration $255 

• Lodging (Hotel- 3 Nights) • Transportation from Vicariate 

• Breakfast for Friday & Saturday, after event pizza Thurs. – Sat.

The Office of Young Catholics will be coordinating a delegation to participate in NCYC 2022 in Long Beach.
